Agua de Limon (Limeade)

  • Juice of 12 to 15 small limes
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 quarts water
  • Handful mint, optional

Mix juice with honey and water in pitcher until combined. Taste for sweetness and adjust accordingly.

Serving Suggestion: Best if served chilled. You may also add fresh mint.

Agua de Sandia (Watermelon)

  • 1 medium watermelon, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 1 to 1-1/2 cups honey
  • 2 quarts water
  • 2 limes, thinly sliced, optional

Place chopped watermelon in blender. Add 1 cup water and 1 cup 100% pure honey. Puree fruit until smooth, this will require several batches. Pour puree into a pitcher and add remaining water. Stir until combined. Taste for sweetness. If necessary, add additional 1/2 cup of honey.

Serving Suggestion: Best if served chilled over ice. You may also add thinly sliced limes to add taste and color.

Fruit & Honey Smoothie

  • 1 can (16 oz.) pear halves or slices, drained
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • 1-1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup (8 oz.) strawberry or other fruit-flavored yogurt

In blender or food processor container, combine pears and honey; process until smooth. Add milk and yogurt; process until blended.

Tip: Fruit & Honey Pops - Prepare Smoothie recipe as directed, reducing milk to 3/4 cup. Pour into eight 3-ounce popsicle molds or paper drinking cups. (If using cups, insert craft stick in center of each pop.) For fun pops, experiment with alternating layers of smoothie mixture and sprinkles or chocolate chips. Freeze until firm, approximately 3-4 hours.

Honey Shake It Up

  • 1-1/2 cups milk
  • 1-1/2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 5 ice cubes

Combine all ingredients except ice cubes in a blender and blend until thick and creamy. Add ice cubes one at a time and blend until smooth.

Hot Spiced Tea

  • 4 cups freshly brewed tea
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cinnamon sticks, 3 inches long
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 4 lemon or orange slices, optional

Combine tea, honey, cinnamon sticks and cloves in large saucepan; simmer 5 minutes. Serve hot.

Serving Suggestion: Garnish with lemon slices, if desired.

Fat-Free Honey Berry Milkshake

  • 1 pint nonfat vanilla ice cream or nonfat frozen yogurt
  • 1 basket strawberries, hulled; or an assortment of berries, approx. 2-1/2 cups
  • 1/2 cup nonfat milk
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 small mint sprigs, optional garnish

In blender, combine all ingredients except mint sprigs and blend until smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds. Serve immediately in tall, chilled glasses. Garnish with mint sprigs.
